Co-Superintendents: Committee: Kim Hanna All exhibits must be registered by Wednesday, October 7th, 2009. Registration is done by completing a Needlework entry form as contained in this book, using the list of categories in this section, and mailing the entry form to Terri Zampini at the above address for receipt by October 7th. Please list each article to be exhibited, including its category and appropriate number within this category. The Needlework Committee will accept registered exhibits at the Fairgrounds from 5P.M. to 7 P.M. on Thursday, October 8th. No unregistered exhibits will be accepted on October 9th. POSITIVELY NO EXHIBITS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8th. Professionals are welcome to exhibit in categories other than those in which they earn a living. Soiled and dirty articles will not be accepted. All pictures and wall hangings must be equipped for hanging. It is recommended that wall hangings be washed, pressed and/or stretched. No article previously exhibited at the Portland Fair can compete again for prizes. Only one article may be exhibited in each letter / number / letter designation in a category. All exhibits must remain on display until close of the Fair AWARDS
1st: Blue 2nd: Red 3rd: Yellow Honorable Mention Ribbons The cash value for First, Second, and Third Place ribbon winners is as indicated in the following list of categories. In addition, Rosette ribbons will be awarded at the direction of the judges on outstanding First Place ribbon exhibits. |
