Rules For Adults and Children
1. Mail pre-registration form to Diane Bascom at 23 Edwards Road, Portland, CT 06480
2. Exhibits will be received from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2009.
Judging will take place Friday, October 8th at 9 a.m.
3. Each exhibitor is allowed only one entry in each class.
4. Entries will be judged on the Danish system. Each entry will be judged and placed on its
own merit.
5. Any exhibit using material on the State Conservation list as published by the Federal
Garden Club of Connecticut, Inc. will be disqualified.
6. Please classify and list your exhibit in the order given in this book on the entry form,
using class numbers for each category.
7. Exhibits must remain in place until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2010. NO early
pick-ups will be allowed. NO exceptions. Prize money will be awarded when exhibit is picked
up between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Items remaining after 6:00 pm will be
given away or disposed of.

Individual Flower Categories
Rules: Must use 3 stems of each flower listed below. Must provide container to hold flowers for display. One entry per class per person. Entries should be grown by the exhibitor.
