Superintendent: Ronald and Diane Collins - (860) 599-3573 Rules for both Horses and Cattle No Person under the influence of liquor will be permitted to drive. The required distance for a fair pull shall be at least 6 feet for cattle and 12 feet for horses. No goad sticks will be allowed. Whip with a lash will be used in the draws. Cattle draw will be starting around noon time. Contestants and officials allowed in the ring ONLY. All contestants in the drawing contest must be weighed on day of drawing. Location and hours of weigh-in time to be announced. Unless otherwise specified all drawing contests will be in accordance with rules of Eastern Draft Horse Association and the Connecticut Oxen Owners and Drivers Association. In accordance with Connecticut P.A. 73-312, all equine animals are required to be vaccinated for the control of Venezuelan equine encephalomyelitis and rabies. It is recommended that horses be vaccinated for EEE and tested for EIA. Rules for Cattle Drawing are in accordance with Connecticut Ox Owner’s and Drivers Association. Sunday 2PM
